We Are Championing America at Her Best

We are a group of Americans who believe America has lost her way under the leadership of a corrupt, inept, and disgraceful president. We believe the core values of the American democratic system are in real danger. We believe that America is at her best when guided by accountability, competence, equality, decency, and integrity.

Our goal is to prevent the reelection of Donald Trump in the 2020 presidential election.

Founding Director

Matthew Matern is a life-long Republican who is committed to the ideals of the party of Lincoln and Reagan. Until now, he has never cast a vote for a Democratic presidential candidate.

His decision to reject Donald Trump and prevent Trump’s reelection for the office of President of the United States is not made lightly. His decision is dictated not just by what is good for America but what is necessary for America. It goes far deeper than party allegiance.

As an American, Matt is disgusted by Trump’s lies, corruption, lack of ethics, irresponsibility, narcissism, and divisiveness. He believes it is time to make America honest, kind, and decent again.

Matt Matern has spent his career as a successful attorney in California standing up to bullies, fighting for the rights of working Americans, and supporting efforts in the community that serve the underrepresented. In 2019, he mounted a campaign to run for the Republican nomination in the 2020 Presidential election. He suspended his campaign in May 2020..

Julia Cottrell is a fiscal conservative and social liberal who is troubled by Donald Trump’s willful ignorance, lack of character and integrity, incompetence, and divisive rhetoric.

She believes that America is at her best when guided by decency, integrity, accountability, and competence.

Julia served as campaign manager for the Matern 2020 campaign.
